Artwork requirements for custom printing

Vector or raster

Vector artwork is made of shapes and stays sharp at any size. It is best for logos. Raster artwork is made of pixels (photos, screenshots). It can look soft or jagged if enlarged.

Resolution

As a common rule, raster artwork should be about 300 pixels per inch at the size it will print. A small web image stretched across a chest will look blurry.

Colours

  • Count the flat colours. Screen print is planned and priced per colour.
  • Gradients and photos suit DTG, DTF and sublimation rather than screen print.
  • Screens show colour differently from fabric, so check colours on the preview.

Use the studio

The studio lets you place text, clip-art and your own artwork on the garment and see the print areas before you ask for quotes. You approve a preview before anything is printed.
